My passion for art has always run parallel with my love for animals, a focus in my life I’ve had for as long as I can remember. A childhood spent sketching or drawing animals in the minutest of details led to a side career doing animal portraiture for a growing list of clients in south Florida in the 80’s.

I started working with polymer clay in 1990 and realized a dream come true combining my two greatest passions - dogs and art. I established Critter Craft in 1991, making custom dog jewelry and vending at AKC dog shows throughout the country where it was an overnight success. It was the first original line of whimsical dog jewelry in polymer clay ever presented, culminating in over 1600 different designs in 144 breeds. Throughout the years, I have created thousands of custom pieces for others, every step of the way inspired by the dogs.
